Rights of Passage for Women was born from lived experience, community observation, and a growing realization that wellness extends far beyond food alone.
The journey began through The Royal Womb, a wellness business founded after our founder was diagnosed with fibroids and began searching for ways to improve her health through nutrition, minerals, and holistic wellness practices.
During that journey, it became clear how difficult it was for many families throughout the Antelope Valley, East Kern County, and surrounding High Desert communities to access not only fresh food, but also wellness education, preventative health resources, and supportive community-centered spaces.
For years, accessing healthier food options and wellness-centered environments often required traveling long distances to year-round farmers markets throughout Southern California, including Santa Clarita, Burbank, Culver City, Venice, and surrounding communities

Many families within underserved and rural communities continue to face barriers to wellness education, reproductive health awareness, preventative care resources, and opportunities for open, supportive conversations surrounding personal and community health.
Rights of Passage for Women was created to help build spaces where those conversations and resources could exist in a welcoming, accessible, and community-centered way.
Through KTS Farmers Market and future wellness initiatives, we are working to create opportunities for connection, education, healthy living, and community support.
We believe wellness should not depend on income, transportation, or zip code, and that trusted community spaces can help create healthier futures for everyone.”
Our vision extends beyond the farmers market itself.

We envision spaces where young girls can learn about menstrual health and personal wellness with guidance and support, where families can access wellness resources without barriers, and where community-centered programs can encourage healthier, more informed lifestyles for future generations.
We believe farmers markets can become more than places to shop, they can serve as trusted community spaces where food, wellness, education, culture, and connection come together.
